Choosing to return to a classroom after years in the corporate world isn’t easy. It means making space, mentally and physically, in a life that’s already full. But growth doesn’t happen without friction. And for me, stepping into ISB’s PGP MAX program wasn’t just about career advancement. It was about realignment. It was about rediscovering what drives me.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve been fascinated by the intersection of healthcare and technology. The way these two worlds converge to improve lives has always inspired me. My career in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry has been an incredible journey filled with opportunities to lead, innovate, and solve complex problems on a global scale. I’ve led IT delivery and commercial operations, worked across geographies, and collaborated with cross-functional teams to drive meaningful outcomes.

Each project was like a complex puzzle which wasn't just about systems and timelines, but about harmonising ideas, people, and impact. These experiences helped shape my leadership style: One grounded in empathy, strategy, and execution.

Still, the deeper I went into leadership, the more I realised that innovation alone wasn’t enough. It had to be supported by a stronger understanding of global business frameworks and management principles. I wanted to think bigger, act bolder, and lead a transformation that could scale.

To do that, I needed to step out of my comfort zone and immerse myself in an environment that would ignite intellectual growth and open doors to reimagining possibilities. That’s what brought me to ISB.

The Next Chapter in My Transformational Journey

ISB stood out to me because it offered the perfect blend of academic rigour, industry insights, and peer learning, all within an accelerated format that aligned with my career goals. The diversity of the cohorts was especially appealing, providing a rich tapestry of perspectives that I knew would challenge and inspire me.

It didn’t take long for ISB to cast its spell. Within the first week, I found myself building friendships over late-night case discussions, the kind of coffee-fueled debates that turn strangers into advocates for your ideas. Classes became vibrant forums of diverse viewpoints, each adding new layers of depth to how I approached problems.

One standout experience was learning from Professor Mohan. His insights into global business and financial trends were like unlocking a treasure chest of wisdom. What struck me most was his gift for simplifying complex ideas while pushing us to think beyond the obvious. I left those sessions not just inspired, but equipped with sharper analytical tools that I know will serve me long after the classroom.

Today, I feel better prepared than ever to navigate ambiguity and craft solutions that drive real, tangible impact across industries.

Advice for Students

My advice to future applicants is to embrace the diversity at ISB. You’ll learn as much from your peers as you do from professors. And don’t hesitate to stretch yourself, sign up for initiatives outside your comfort zone. The real magic of ISB is in expanding your boundaries.

Looking ahead, my goal is clear: To lead transformation initiatives that improve patient outcomes, optimise operations, and build sustainable business models for the healthcare industry.
