Gender-based disparities continue to impact health outcomes in India, where socio-cultural norms limit women’s access to healthcare, education, and economic opportunities. Despite progress in maternal health and digital healthcare, systemic barriers persist, affecting women’s overall wellbeing. This study takes a life cycle approach to examine these challenges through the lens of the 5As (Awareness, Accessibility, Affordability, Acceptance, and Accountability). It introduces the IDEAS framework—Innovation, Digitalization, Equity, Accessibility, and Security—as a strategic tool for inclusive digital health solutions. The study aims to analyse women’s health across their lifespan, review policy and innovation landscapes, and identify barriers to healthcare access. Using a mixed-methods approach, including secondary data analysis, literature review, and expert interviews, the report offers actionable policy recommendations. The IDEAS framework emphasizes co-creation of AI and tech solutions with women using the ‘under mango tree’ approach, ensuring diversity, security, and scalability. Ultimately, it provides a blueprint for equitable digital health innovation that can benefit all genders and communities.
